I’m a first generation Lebanese American, primarily living in Washington State my whole life. Both my parents were born in Lebanon. My dad is from a town named, “Azounieh” and my mom grew up in the city, “Choueifat.” We (my wife, daughter and I) try to go to Lebanon every year to visit family and friends. It’s important for me to give my children the same opportunity to learn the values that I feel were instilled in me. My belief is that a lot of these values are found in our rich Lebanese heritage and I’m grateful to help represent them in our community as part of the LASS board.
